Nerves. Lots and lots of nerves.
Usually I’m very, very quiet and superstitious about things like..oh..job interviews and things that I want to happen but haven’t happened! Sometimes that seems to work, sometimes not. I decided to go for it in hopes that enough good thoughts and karma would lean in my favor.
I’ve got a very important job interview coming up! Very important.
Most of the “regular” readers, if I have any, know that my husband was laid off in a mass lay off of his company back in the spring and that I also was laid off. sigh. With 3 kids it’s a little hard to keep a roof over head without income.
I’ve made a few dollars from this site (HUGE THANKS TO MY CUSTOMERS!! You know who you are
but I really, really needed a job outside the home. Thankfully husband found a job fairly quickly. The problem is the pay cut was HUGE. Very huge, enough of a cut that amount alone is a salary for someone. Also he know has to drive almost 1hour each way to work raising that good ol’ gas bill through the roof. Something has to give.
Well after appling for a state job 3 or 4 months ago I was finally called for a interview which will happen Monday the 13th. at 8:30am.
Please spare me some good thoughs and maybe a prayer or two if you pray! I’m very scared as I haven’t interviewed for a job in many, many years now.
As for this site I’m still planning to pump it up. Got my twitter name ready, but with summer and the 3 kids haven’t taken the time to tweet! I have a test site set up testing various themes all of which I’m semi-happy but also semi-unhappy with. sigh. I’m the type that wants things the way I want them and since I can’t code and get sooo darned frustrated with the process I’m not sure I’ll ever get it right!
One of these days, hopefully soon, I will have a site up that I’ll be proud of and will be showcaseing more of my art including pre-made works in. Of course I’m hoping that I’ll have a day job so I’ll have to do the art at night! That’s ok with me!
Thanks everyone and wish me well! I’ll update as soon as I know. Gosh I hope they tell me that day and not make me wait to hear if I got the position. Waiting is the pits!!!!!!
