UGH! ok..disclaimer alert! I AM thrilled to be employed in this horrible economy. I really am!
However, you knew there had to be a “however“…
I am beyond frazzled! I’ve been in training for the last 3 days, actually more but I’m only counting the 3 I actually made it to training! I’ve had to drive 2 hrs. each way to get to training. It sucks! Not only do I have to drive that far but I have to find my way into a rather large city. It’s not NYC but to ME it’s big, Louisville Ky. Not your mamma’s KY town.
Soooo to THIS Ky. mamma it’s been a ordeal. The first day I got stuck on the interstate..in wall to wall traffic, started running out of gas, had no clue what was up but I did what I had to do. Get outta there! LOL! Thank goodness for my gas sucking, huge, 4-wheel drive. I put that baby in 4-wheel, jumped into the trench of a medium, booked it down then up the bank turning around headed for home!
Good thing I didn’t lose my job over that one..ugh. So I made it the rest of the days and made a few new friends along the way as well
My fav. being a little guy from a Ky. town so small they have no police force, only a sheriff and deputy, only dial up internet and a really good Ky. accent. Cool thing is meeting the other newbies. I can honestly say that the new ones who haven’t been hardened by the job are the best..hope they stay that way.
Now I’m almost finished. Only tomorrow to go then I’m home free, back in my little, bare office dreaming about actually doing some art and “training” locally on my office computer. sigh…
I’ve been wondering how you made out this week! Hopefully we can catch up this weekend.
